What should be checked on draft or bill of exchange?

1. Draft is dated on or prior to the date of presentation
2. Drafts is signed
3. Tenor in draft is as per L/C terms
4. Shipment date or maturity date is indicated in the draft (in case of usance drafts)
5. The currency indicated in draft is per L/C terms
6. Draft is drawn for Invoice amount
7. Amount in words are consistent with the amount mentioned in figures
8. Issuing Bank Name, L/C no, L/C issue date mentioned in draft is as per L/C
9. Drawee in draft is as per L/C
10. Correction/Alteration is authenticated by the beneficiary
